Bridge Buddy is a post-game bridge review and coaching app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Bridge Buddy is not affiliated with Bridge Base Online (BBO), the ACBL, or any bridge organization.

What we collect

Account contact — the email address or phone number you use to sign in and to receive "your review is ready" messages.
Game data you provide — the bridge hands, auctions, play, and results you upload (PBN files) or link (BBO permanent-replay links), plus the BBO username you tell us is yours, so we can identify your seat.
Derived analysis — the review, lessons, patterns, and practice we generate from your games, stored so you can revisit them and track progress across sessions.
Basic technical data — standard server logs (IP, timestamps) for security and reliability.

We do not collect payment card data (the app stores handle purchases), and we do not ask for BBO passwords.

How we use it

To analyze your games and produce coaching, drills, and cross-session patterns.
To deliver review-ready notifications and sign-in links you request.
To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information or use your game data for advertising.

Third parties that process data for us

Anthropic — generates the coaching prose from the computed facts of a board.
Twilio (SMS) and SendGrid (email) — deliver notifications and sign-in links, when enabled.
Render (hosting) and Neon (database) — run the service and store your games and analyses.

Each processes data only to provide its function to us.

Retention & deletion

We keep your games and analyses until you delete them or ask us to. Email mr.brandonkcavalier@gmail.com to access or delete your data; we'll remove your games, analyses, and contact record.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

Bridge Buddy is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

Changes

We'll update this policy as the app evolves and revise the effective date.
